Glitched Realities of Overexposed Fantasies

Welcome to logs, blogs, and vlogs
Not related to specific art works, but very much tied to a specific day, object, emotion, or life.
Expect reports from the perspectives of some of my favorite everyday companions: fractured grass, misfit moths, and overlooked stardust. You’ll also hear from my workers—employees both blue-collar and white-collar—Pero Kavgić, Kaya Liifsong, PAL42, and my dear, semi-retired friend Vesna Mačković, with our working-class collective growing steadily in the times ahead.

As I hitchhike through galaxies, play-pretending as Dorothy wandering with her odd gang, navigating earthly burning bushes and basking in calming auroras borealis, the mind is rarely still or empty. Yet, yours truly—Hir Stillness, Marina Otchuda Say Gynt—embodies stillness, patience, and calmness above all else. These logs will stand as witnesses, proof, and jury to that even when my workers tell you differently.

For introspections and rumblings while working on or retrospectively looking at specific artworks, jump to the Workings page.

This is my multimedia mixtape journal, where micro-poetry, essays, soundscapes, photos, and videos intertwine, reflecting on the beauty in life’s absurdities and banalities, connecting daily fragments with shards of identity, politics, technology, and art in a fractured world.

A list: Everyone Who Made This Dream Possible, and What Is Required to Sustain It

Grateful to the individuals, organizations, and sponsors who helped make this possible.

The Jump: A Poem and Thank You Letter to the Ones Who Believed

Dear friends, donors, supporters, providers of useful information, and connectors with well-matched contacts, Now that I have successfully settled in New York and can begin working on my art in an environment full of opportunities, I would like to sincerely thank all of you. Over the next few months, I will share with you various materials on these pages—photos, videos, and texts—that will testify to everything I have gone through, the obstacles I have overcome through my stubbornness, perseverance, endless patience, and, of course, your financial, moral, emotional, and informational support.
